For the record, true Henna does not come in black! Natural Henna is always a green color when applied and DOES NOT stain the skin black! Sole Shine only uses 100% natural Henna, which dyes the skin in a range of brownish-red colors.

Please note that the MDH info quotes the FDA's 2002 stance on how natural Henna may be used.

However, I have written information directly from the FDA that simply states that the FDA does not regulate the use of natural Henna on the skin and there are no laws against its use in public commerce.

If it's natural Henna it is safe. If it's black, it has PPD and dangerous!
